FAQ

Questions about Rima.

Ordering and delivery

How long does delivery take, and what does it cost?

Shipping within Denmark is free. Most lamps are printed after you order, and the product page shows a ready-by estimate. Packed within 1 business day and then shipped with Dao.

Do you ship outside Denmark?

Not yet. For now I deliver in Denmark only. If you are elsewhere and interested, write to jakob@lamella.dk.

How do I track my parcel?

When the parcel is handed to Dao you get an email with a tracking link. The link shows Dao's own expected delivery time.

How do I pay?

At checkout, with a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or MobilePay, securely through Stripe and with no surcharge. You get an order confirmation and an invoice with VAT by email.

Can I get an invoice for my company?

Ordering for a company? Email jakob@lamella.dk before you order and I will set up an invoice with your company name and CVR number. Prices include 25% VAT, which a VAT-registered business can normally deduct.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Email me at jakob@lamella.dk as soon as possible. I can cancel before the parcel is dispatched.

How does the waitlist work?

If a size is coming soon or fully booked, leave your email on the product page. When a slot opens I email you a payment link, first in line, first served, and you have 3 business days to complete the order.

About the lamp

What is Rima made of?

PETG, a strong, durable plastic that is slightly translucent, which means light shines through it softly. That is what gives the diffused glow. It is printed in white.

How is it made?

I design the lamp in 3D modelling software, then print it on a 3D printer in Copenhagen. The printer builds it layer by layer from PETG filament, which takes several hours per lamp. The ribs on the shade are part of the printed shape.

Why is it made to order?

Most lamps are made after you order them. That keeps production smaller, with less storage and less waste, at the cost of a bit of waiting time. I keep a few in stock, and the product page shows which size is ready to ship and which is made to order.

Will mine look exactly like the photos?

Almost, but not exactly. Every Rima is printed, so tiny variations in the layers happen naturally. That is part of the process, not a defect. Colours can also look slightly different on your screen than in the room.

How bright is it, and what colour is the light?

Mellem and Stor come with a Philips LED bulb (7 W, 806 lm, 2700 K), which is warm but neutral enough for a living room, desk or sideboard. Lille is deliberately much warmer and softer (1 W, warm-white), closer to candlelight, and made for bedside tables and corners. The bulbs are not dimmable.

Choosing

Which size should I choose?

Lille suits a bedside table, a shelf or a corner of a room, where you want a low, warm light. Mellem fits most places, such as a desk, a sideboard, a shelf or a living room table, and is the one most people choose. Stor needs open space around it, for example on a dining table, a long sideboard or next to a chair.

Using it

What is included?

The lamp, an LED bulb and a cord with an inline switch, ready to plug in. Lille has a 1.8 m cord. Mellem and Stor have 2 m from the lamp to the switch and 80 cm from the switch to the plug.

Can I use another bulb?

LED only. Mellem and Stor take an E27 bulb of at most 7 W, and Lille takes an E14. No halogen, incandescent or dimmable bulbs. To change the bulb, unplug the lamp, let it cool, twist the globe counter-clockwise to unlock it, and lift it off.

Is it safe, and where can I use it?

It is made for LED bulbs, which run cool. Use it indoors in dry rooms only, on a stable surface. Unplug it and stop using it if a part is cracked, deformed or smells unusual. Full safety information, in Danish, is on the product page.

How do I clean it?

Unplug it, let it cool and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. No water, sprays or solvents.

Returns and support

Can I return it?

Yes. You have 14 days after receiving it to withdraw, without giving a reason, using the online withdrawal form. You pay only the return shipping, unless the lamp is faulty. I am happy to provide a return label if you need one. Just send me an email for it, and I then deduct its cost from your refund.

When do I get my refund?

Within 14 days after I receive your withdrawal notice, to the original payment method and without a fee. I may wait until the lamp has arrived back, or you have shown it has been sent, before paying out.

What if it arrives damaged or something is wrong?

Email jakob@lamella.dk with your order number and a photo. A two-year statutory guarantee applies to faults and lamps that do not match their description. I will repair, replace or refund as the law requires, at no cost to you. This is separate from your 14-day right to withdraw.
